It's been an incredible few months (and incredibly busy) for our chorus. Read on to learn more about love songs, awards, championships, and special guests!

DISTRICT CHAMPS!
A little over a week ago in Knoxville, TN, we competed in the Southeastern Harmony District annual chorus championship. We are proud to say that with our highest district contest score ever, AVP won the contest to be named 2026 district champions. Our 86.8% was also our highest official score in any contest since International 2009.
Equally as exciting was that over on the quartet qualifying contest side, half of the top 10 finals round were AVP chapter quartets! Having all 5 of our quartets make the finals (including two finishing 2nd and 3rd behind a pretty dang good quartet called Full Effect) was a great sign of our member growth and dedication to barbershop harmony.
AWARDS BANQUET
Another great event this month was our annual officer installation and awards banquet. It was a fun time gathering with our families to celebrate the success of 2025 and the future opportunities of 2026.

SINGING VALENTINES RECAP
Valentine's Day is one of our favorite times of the year, and this year was downright fantastic! Five different AVP quartets delivered 19 harmonious serenades across the metro area, in addition to a bunch of live video calls across the country.
From singing in people's offices, to interrupting Costco shoppers, and even "congratulating" one girl on her last place fantasy football finish, it was quite a memorable weekend.
UPCOMING CONCERT
Tickets are on sale now for our America250 show at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center on May 3rd. This show celebrates how barbershop is entwined with the history of the United States.
And our newly announced featured guest quartet will be the entertaining and hilarious Boardwalk. These guys combine barbershop with Americana folk better than anyone around. You do not want to miss their music!
PEACH JAM
Another great area-wide barbershop event not to miss is the Peach Barbershop Jamboree on Saturday, April 11th (National Barbershop Quartet Day)! It's a full day packed with harmony, learning, tags, friends, and fun, featuring performances by multiple talented quartets and choruses, and packed with workshops from expert clinicians.
